When most people think of yoga, it's common for an image to come to mind of an impossibly supple, bendy, young person bent into all sorts of shapes. But the truth is, yoga can benefit anyone, regardless of age, inflexibility or even disability.

Chair yoga is a modified form of Hatha yoga which allows students with disabilities, lack of mobility, balance problems or joint challenges to participate in and enjoy the benefits of a yoga practice. 

For those who can’t get on the floor to do a traditional mat yoga class, chair yoga offers a modified version to still build strength and flexibility, while minimising pressure and impact on the joints.
